Pork Barbeque

The Marten River Fire Department's annual pork barbeque was a tremendous success. Over 300 tickets were sold. It was good to see so many people out and about and enjoying the meal and the company. There was a "Jaws of Life" demonstration that the Chautauqua County, N. Y. Fire Department, has donated to us. They have become great friends with our community and we are forever greatful for the donations of the truck and equipment. Fire departments are a special bunch of people and have a special closeness, especially since 9/11.
I hope to see many of you at the Marten River Fire Department's yard and bake sale on Sunday August 6th.
