Meeting at Judi's

We had a really good get together at Judi's today. The house was all decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. Paul had made lunch for us and he is an impressive cook. That was so kind of him. Chili and or chicken soup (good for what ails you!) is what we had and toast too.
It really warmed us up. Also, there was a nice fire in the fireplace to warm us up and it was wonderful. We also discussed the making of a quilt for our fundraising project for the fire department. Nothing has been settled yet.
Next week, for those of us that are interested,we will be making a Christmas wreath or centrepiece at Beaverlands.

Avon Party

Last week we all had a good time at Judi's annual Avon bash. There were lots of ideas for gifts, pretty things for our houses and lots to keep us sweet smelling and beautiful. There were a lot of tasty tidbits too.
This is the time of year that the roads can become treacherous, so take extra care when travelling about. The weather is so changeable this time of the year. Even the hydro has been iffy lately. With all the wind we have been having, the power has been going out a lot. I guess, living in the country, as we do, we have to put up with such things. Just be careful out there.

First Meeting

Hi Everybody:
The first meeting of our new season was last Wed. It was nice to see many of you again. We talked about ideas for a new fundraiser for this year but nothing has been decided as yet. We learned how to make tiny pretty Christmas boxes out of old Christmas cards from Judy Belland.
The meeting next week will be at Judi Feeney's with the annual Avon bash for Christmas taking place. Can you believe we are thinking about buying for Christmas already!!!
