On Sunday July 2nd the Marten River Fire Department hosted an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast at the Rockpine Motel & Restaurant. It was a great success and was very well attended.
On the same day I went to a 60th birthday celebration for Albert Cloet, arranged and put on by Dorothy Cloet and their family. It was wonderful to see some of the sisters there. The food was delicious and we all had a great time.
On Saturday July 15th, the Marten River Provincial Park will be hosting their 16th annual Logger's Day. There will be a black powder demonstration, musical entertainment put on by "Freshwater Trade", and chainsaw demonstrations. There will also be a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning at the park at the Logging Museum. I hope to see many of you there.
